More about this game
In Ink Shield, your goal is to protect a hamster from angry hornets by drawing a single line of ink. The core loop involves observing the level layout, drawing a protective barrier, and watching the physics-based swarm attack. The difficulty increases as the hornets get faster, their numbers grow up to 38, and the terrain introduces gaps, spikes, and water. A run ends when the 6 to 8-second timer reaches zero for a win, or if the hamster is stung, falls off the edge, or hits a hazard.
Tips
- Use less ink to earn up to 3 stars. Watch the two markers on the ink bar at the top of the screen to see the thresholds.
- Make sure your shield is anchored against the ground or wide enough so the hornets cannot push it aside with their combined force.
- If the hamster is on a ledge, draw a cradle shape to catch it before it falls into the water below when gravity kicks in.
FAQ
- How do I get 3 stars?
- You earn 3 stars by using a very small amount of ink. Watch the markers on the ink gauge at the top of the screen while drawing to stay under the limit.
- Why did I lose immediately?
- You lose if a hornet stings the hamster, or if the hamster falls off the edge, touches spikes, or drops into the water. Make sure your shield covers the hamster completely.
- Can I draw multiple lines?
- No, you can only draw one continuous line per level. Once you release your finger or mouse, the physics simulation begins and the hornets will immediately start their attack.
