More about this game
In Jack & Gemma: First Contact, you guide baby Jack across a play mat toward the sound of jingling keys. Because Jack relies on sound and touch, his vision is limited to a small 330-unit radius that shifts slightly as he moves. You must listen for the keys, which jingle every 2.4 seconds, and follow the expanding sound rings. The game progresses through four story checkpoints, revealing short narrative beats about the babies and their mothers, Bella and Lucy. A run ends when Jack finally reaches Gemma.
Tips
- Stop moving if you lose track of the keys. They jingle every 2.4 seconds, sending out three visual rings to guide you.
- Jack's vision radius shifts by eighteen percent as he crawls, so keep an eye out for sudden glimpses of the keys ahead.
- You do not need to be perfectly accurate. Getting within a 120-unit radius of the keys will automatically pull Jack to the checkpoint.
FAQ
- Why can I only see a small part of the mat?
- Jack's perception is limited to a central radius of 330 units. This represents his reliance on sound and touch rather than sight as he navigates the play mat.
- How many checkpoints are there in the game?
- There are exactly four checkpoints to reach. Each time you find the keys, the game pauses for 1.5 seconds to display a short story beat before the next jingle.
- How fast does Jack crawl across the mat?
- When you hold down an input, Jack crawls at a steady speed of 250 units per second. He will stop immediately when you release the controls.
