More about this game
Your goal is to keep the ball moving back and forth between the walls for as long as possible. The ball falls constantly, and every tap applies an upward force. Each time the ball hits a wall, you score a point, and 1 to 5 new spikes appear on the opposite wall. The background color shifts to a new palette every 10 points. A run ends instantly if the ball touches any spikes on the walls, or the 40-pixel high spike rows at the top and bottom.
Tips
- Try to stay near the middle of the screen to give yourself time to react to the 1 to 5 new spikes that spawn on the opposite wall.
- The ball moves horizontally at a constant speed of 4.5, so focus entirely on your vertical timing to thread the needle between hazards.
- Spikes will never spawn in the exact same spot or within 40 pixels of each other, so look for the guaranteed safe gaps.
FAQ
- How do I score points?
- You earn exactly one point every time the ball successfully bounces off a side wall. The background color will change to a new palette every 10 points you score.
- Why did my game end?
- Your run ends and the ball shatters into 20 particles if it touches the spikes on the side walls, or if it hits the 40-pixel high spikes at the top or bottom.
- Can I change the direction of the ball?
- No, the ball moves horizontally on its own and reverses direction automatically when it hits a wall. You only control its vertical jumps by tapping to apply upward force.
