More about this game
Your goal is to defuse a tactical device before the forty-second countdown reaches zero. The core loop involves memorizing a sequence of four colored wires and a specific four-digit code during a brief 3.2-second intel window. Once the window closes, you must cut the wires in the exact order and enter the code on the keypad. The pressure mounts as the timer ticks down, flashing red when under eight seconds. A run ends when you successfully defuse the bomb, make a single mistake, or run out of time.
Tips
- Use the brief 3.2-second intel window to repeat the four wire colors and the four-digit code out loud to yourself to improve retention.
- Tap carefully on the device; the wire tap tolerance is 58 pixels, and the keypad tolerance is 64 pixels, so aim for the center.
- Watch the timer closely. When it drops below eight seconds, the digits will flash red and yellow, signaling that you must hurry your inputs.
FAQ
- How much time do I have to defuse the bomb?
- You have exactly forty seconds to cut the four wires and enter the code. If the timer reaches zero before you finish, the device detonates and the run ends.
- What happens if I cut the wrong wire or enter the wrong code?
- Making a mistake triggers an error. By default, the mistake limit is set to one, meaning a single incorrect wire cut or wrong keypad entry causes immediate detonation.
- Can I fix a typo when entering the keypad code?
- Yes, if you tap the wrong number on the keypad, you can press the C button to clear your current entry before it reaches four digits or you press OK.
