More about this game
In Anime Puzzle Journey, your goal is to reconstruct hand-illustrated anime artwork by dragging scattered pieces into an empty grid. The core loop involves picking up pieces from the bottom tray and matching them to their correct positions. Difficulty scales across 30 stages, starting with a simple 2x2 grid of 4 pieces and expanding up to a 4x4 grid with 14 pieces. A run ends when you successfully clear all 30 stages and reach the Puzzle Master victory screen.
Tips
- Watch for the pink highlight on the grid slots. When you drag a piece over its exact correct position, the slot will pulse, letting you know it is safe to drop.
- Take advantage of pre-placed pieces. Many stages automatically lock the first one or two pieces into the grid, giving you a solid anchor point to build the rest of the image around.
- Pieces in the tray are scaled down to 70 percent of their actual size and rotated randomly. Dragging a piece scales it back up, making it easier to match with the reference image.
FAQ
- How does the grid size change?
- The grid shape automatically adjusts based on the piece count. It starts at a 2x2 layout for 4 pieces, grows to 3x3 for 7 to 9 pieces, and eventually reaches a 4x4 layout for the final stage.
- What happens if I drop a piece in the wrong spot?
- If you release a piece outside of its correct slot's 50-pixel snap threshold, it will play a return sound effect and automatically fly back to a random position in the bottom tray.
- Is my progress saved if I leave?
- Yes, the game automatically saves your current stage to your local storage. When you return, you will resume exactly at the highest stage you reached, up to stage 30.
