More about this game
Your goal is to destroy a grid of 32 alien ships before they descend past the defense perimeter. You control a ship at the bottom of the screen, moving left and right at 310 pixels per second to line up shots with your plasma cannon. The alien formation moves side to side at 70 pixels per second, dropping 18 pixels lower each time it hits the screen edge. A run ends in victory if you clear all 32 hostiles, or in defeat if any alien reaches the bottom line.
Tips
- The alien formation drops exactly 18 pixels lower every time it touches the left or right edge of the screen, so clear the edges first to slow their descent.
- You can have up to 24 bullets active at once traveling upward at 660 pixels per second, so keep firing rapidly to clear the board quickly.
- Each destroyed hostile awards 10 points, meaning a perfect clear of all four rows of eight aliens yields a maximum score of 320 points.
FAQ
- How do I win the game?
- You win by successfully destroying all 32 alien ships in the starting grid before any of them manage to reach the defense perimeter at the bottom of the screen.
- What happens if an alien reaches the bottom?
- If any alien ship drops down and crosses the defense perimeter line at the bottom of the screen, the line is breached and the game ends immediately in defeat.
- How fast do the aliens move?
- The alien formation moves horizontally across the screen at a speed of 70 pixels per second, reversing direction and dropping lower whenever it hits the edge.
