More about this game
In The Last Ember, you must survive three nights in the woods by keeping your campfire lit. During the 18-second daylight phase, walk to the five wood bundles to gather up to six pieces of fuel. Return to the center to feed the fire, increasing its safe light radius by 13 percent per log. When night falls, a creature stalks you in the dark. Stay inside the amber ring to avoid losing your three health points. The monster gets faster each night, and fuel burns quicker.
Tips
- Wood bundles take 13 seconds to restock after you gather two pieces, so rotate between the five locations efficiently during the day.
- Fuel drains much faster at night, increasing from 2.4 to 2.8 percent per second by night three, so stockpile maximum wood.
- The creature's speed increases by 8 units every night. Save your single flare for when it breaches your shrinking fire radius.
FAQ
- How do I heal my health points?
- You start with three health points and lose one if the creature touches you. You automatically regain one health point at the start of each daylight phase, up to the maximum of three.
- Why is the campfire shrinking?
- The fire constantly consumes fuel, shrinking the safe amber ring. It drains at 1.05 percent per second during the day and burns even faster at night. Feed it wood to restore 13 percent per log.
- How does the flare work?
- You receive exactly one flare per night. Activating it forces the creature to flee away from you for five seconds, giving you time to run back into the safe campfire radius.
