More about this game
In Dream Home Designer, your goal is to furnish an empty house while strictly managing a $5,500 starting budget. The core loop involves selecting items like chairs, bookcases, and tables from the design library, then arranging them on a ten-by-nine isometric grid. Difficulty arises from balancing expensive pieces against the 24-item placement limit and avoiding overlapping footprints. A run ends when you successfully place the four required client brief items, triggering a success message, though you can continue styling or reset entirely.
Tips
- Keep a close eye on your $5,500 budget; a sofa costs a hefty $900, while a simple decorative plant only sets you back $250.
- You can only place a maximum of 24 objects in the house, so plan your layout carefully before buying too many $120 structural walls.
- If an item refuses to drop, its footprint is overlapping another object; use the rotate tool to fit it into tight corners.
FAQ
- How do I rotate or remove an item?
- Tap any item already placed on the floor to select it. This reveals a menu on the right side where you can tap the rotate button or the delete button to refund its cost.
- What happens if I run out of budget?
- If your remaining funds drop below an item's cost, you cannot place it. You must select and delete existing furniture to regain money, or hit the reset button to restore your full $5,500 budget.
- How do I complete the client brief?
- Check the brief card at the top left. You must purchase and place the four specific items listed—a sofa, a table, a plant, and a window—to fill the progress bar and finish.
