How to play
- Tap an empty circle slot on the graph paper path to open the build menu.
- Choose a tower card from the bottom tray to spend gold and sketch your defense.
- Tap the call button to start the wave early, or wait for the countdown timer.
- Defeat enemies to earn gold, then tap an existing tower and its matching card to upgrade it.

More about this game
In Doodle Defense, your goal is to protect Bob from waves of scribble enemies. You start with 280 gold and 20 health for Bob. Build and upgrade seven types of ink towers, like archers and snipers, to stop the incoming runners, swarmers, and tanks. The difficulty increases as enemies gain more health and speed in later waves. A run ends if the scribbles reach Bob and deplete his health to zero, or if you survive all 10 waves to clear the page and unlock endless survival.
Tips
- Place Support towers near your other defenses. They deal zero damage but boost the range and damage of nearby towers by 10 percent per upgrade level.
- Save 85 gold for the Eraser Bomb or 60 gold for the Ink Strike. Tap their icons and then the path to cast them during emergencies.
- Upgrading a tower to tier 3 costs less than building new ones and significantly increases its stats. Frost towers slow enemies by 52 percent.
FAQ
- How do I get more gold?
- You earn gold by defeating enemies. You also receive a wave clear bonus of 12 gold, or a flawless bonus of 35 plus extra gold based on the wave number if no enemies reach Bob.
- What do the different enemies do?
- Runners are the standard enemy. Swarmers appear starting on wave 2 and move very fast. Tanks appear on wave 3, moving slowly but having 110 base health and dropping 22 gold when defeated.
- How do I unlock workshop upgrades?
- You earn 3 Pencil Stars by surviving all 10 waves and clearing a notebook page. Spend these stars in the workshop menu to permanently increase your starting gold by 20 and Bob's health by 2.
