More about this game
Neon Blade Reflex is a rhythm-based action game where you duel against cybernetic enemies by matching their attack signals. Watch the cues and tap, double-tap, swipe, or hold exactly on the beat to parry and counterattack. Perfect timing deals maximum damage and earns the most coins. The campaign features 10 unique bosses with escalating 4-phase attack patterns, while Endless mode tests your endurance as the tempo continuously increases. A run ends when your 5 integrity points are depleted.
Tips
- Early parries in the purple window are safe and award up to 150 coins based on accuracy, but wait for the gold ring to score a Perfect 300.
- Build your combo with consecutive hits to increase your damage multiplier up to 1.5x, helping you clear the 4 boss phases much faster before they enrage.
- In Endless mode, the tempo increases every 10 hits when the enemy evolves to the next tier, so prepare for progressively faster attack signals as you climb.
FAQ
- How do I unlock new weapons?
- You can buy new blades in the shop using coins earned from accurate timing, or unlock signature weapons by defeating specific bosses like the Thorn Reaver or Prism Assassin in the campaign.
- What do the different signals mean?
- A circle means tap, arrows require a swipe in that direction, two zones mean double-tap in the correct half, and a long bar means you must hold the input until it fills.
- How does the combo system work?
- Consecutive successful parries build your combo, which increases your score multiplier and boosts your damage output up to 1.5x. Taking a hit costs one of your 5 integrity points and resets the combo to zero.
