More about this game
Your goal is to survive 10 waves of advancing zombies. The core loop involves gathering solar energy and spending it to position defensive plants across five lanes. You start with 225 sun, balancing resource-generating Sunflowers with offensive units. As time passes, spawn intervals decrease and elite zombies appear. A run ends in victory when you defeat the final wave, or in defeat if a single zombie crosses the left edge.
Tips
- Prioritize planting Sunflowers in the first few minutes; they cost 50 sun and produce 25 sun every 9 seconds, fueling your late-game defenses.
- Place Wall-nuts, which have 520 health, in the front lines to stall zombies while your ranged plants safely deal 25 damage per shot from behind.
- Keep 150 sun in reserve for a Cherry Bomb; it detonates after 0.82 seconds and deals a massive 500 damage to all zombies in a wide radius.
FAQ
- How do the different offensive plants work?
- Peashooters cost 100 sun and fire standard peas. Repeaters cost 200 sun and fire two peas at once. Snow Peas cost 175 sun and fire icy projectiles that slow zombie movement for 3.5 seconds.
- What happens in the later waves?
- The game features 10 waves in total. As you progress, the zombie spawn interval drops, and you will face elite zombies that move faster and have an additional 80 health points.
- How do instant-use plants function?
- The Squash costs 50 sun and instantly crushes the first zombie that approaches it for 650 damage. The Cherry Bomb costs 150 sun and explodes to damage multiple nearby enemies.
