More about this game
In Hextech Hookmaster, you duel mechanical chimeras using a rocket grab. The goal is to hook the enemy to drain their hearts while dodging their incoming hooks. Landing hits builds your steam meter by 24 points, but missing drops it by 12. As you progress through rounds, chimeras like the Spire Stag and Serpent Boiler move faster and fire more often. A run ends when you lose all 3 hearts or your steam meter hits zero.
Tips
- Missing a hook drains 12 steam from your meter, so make sure your aim is true before releasing to avoid an empty boiler.
- Getting hit by an enemy hook drains 10 steam and one of your 3 hearts, but winning a round restores 1 heart.
- Watch the cooldown timer ring around your golem; you cannot fire your rocket grab again until the 0.62-second reload finishes.
FAQ
- How do I win a round?
- You win a round by hooking the chimera enough times to deplete its hearts. The starting chimera has 3 hearts, and later variants can have up to 9 hearts.
- What happens when the steam meter empties?
- If your steam meter drops to zero, the boiler empties and your run ends immediately. You must balance landing shots to gain 24 steam against missing shots.
- How do I dodge enemy hooks?
- Drag your golem left or right along the bottom rail to slide out of the path of the incoming enemy hook. The enemy hook travels at 840 speed initially.
