More about this game
In Global Trace: Modern Mystery, you track a thief who stole the Lexicon Lens by solving a series of multiple-choice questions. The core loop involves reading an intercepted clue, answering a spelling or geography question, and then selecting the correct map destination from three options. The difficulty increases from basic spelling to expert vocabulary and world geography over three stages. A run ends when you successfully complete the third stage in Ljubljana, securing the suspect and earning a final rank based on your accuracy.
Tips
- You start with exactly two hints per case, so save them for the expert spelling question in the third stage to avoid losing accuracy points.
- Every wrong answer drops your accuracy score by 8 points, which directly affects whether you earn the Cipher Ace rank at the end of the game.
- Read the intercepted clue closely before answering the trivia question, as it often contains specific geographic details about the thief's next destination on the map.
FAQ
- What happens if I pick the wrong answer?
- The game will tell you the answer conflicts with the case file, and your accuracy score drops by 8 points. You can keep guessing until you find the correct option.
- How many stages are in a single case?
- There are exactly 3 stages in a standard case. You will track the thief from Paris to Nairobi, and finally to Ljubljana, answering one question and picking one destination per stage.
- How do I get the highest rank?
- You need to finish the game with an accuracy score of 90% or higher to earn the Cipher Ace rank. If your score drops below 70%, you will receive the Clue Scout rank.
