In Gold Mine, your goal is to haul enough gold to meet the shift target before the 45-second timer runs out. A claw swings back and forth at the top of the screen. You must time your drops to grab valuable gold nuggets while avoiding worthless rocks. Rocks are heavy and reel in slowly, wasting precious time. If you reach the target, you advance to the next shift where the target increases by $150. The game ends if time runs out before you hit the target. The first level requires $650 to pass.
Tips
- Aim for the largest gold nuggets first, as they are worth up to $250. The smallest nuggets are worth $100.
- Avoid the grey rocks completely; they have no value and reel in very slowly, wasting your limited 45 seconds.
- If you miss a nugget, the claw will retract faster than if it grabs a rock, so it's better to miss than to grab a rock.
