Defend the courtyard by defeating a set number of shadows in each level. Move Emilia to avoid incoming enemies and strike them with your sword or nova blast. As you progress through the 100 levels, shadows move faster and gain more health, with bosses appearing every tenth level. Collect coins from defeated enemies to purchase permanent upgrades for your health, damage, and cooldowns. A run ends when you reach the target number of kills or lose all your hearts.
Tips
- The nova blast has a minimum cooldown of 1.5 seconds and deals 3 base damage, so save it for when you are surrounded by multiple shadows or facing a boss.
- Shadows move faster as you defeat more of them (speed increases every 10 kills), so keep moving constantly around the courtyard to avoid taking damage.
- Bosses appear at the end of every 10 levels and have 4 extra health points, so prioritize upgrading your sword damage in the shop to defeat them quickly.

- How do I heal my hearts?
- You cannot heal lost hearts during an active level. However, you can buy permanent health upgrades in the shop using coins to start every level with up to 5 extra hearts.
- What is the difference between cut and nova?
- The cut attack deals 1 base damage with a short cooldown. The nova attack hits enemies in a larger radius and deals 3 base damage, but has a longer cooldown timer.
- How do I unlock new levels?
- Defeat the required number of shadows shown at the top of the screen to complete your current level and unlock the next one, up to a maximum of 100 levels.
