Experiment with different elements in a pixelated sandbox to see how they interact, flow, and transform across the grid.
How to play
- Select a material from the toolbar, such as sand, water, fire, or lava.
- Choose a brush size of small, medium, or large for your selected tool.
- Draw on the canvas to place the material and watch the physics simulation run.
- Observe how elements react, like water turning regular sand into wet sand.
- Use the eraser or the clear button to wipe the canvas and start over.
Controls
- Touch
- Tap or drag on the canvas to place or erase the selected elements.
- Keyboard
- Use number keys 1-7 to select tools, C to clear, Space to toggle simulation.
- Mouse
- Click or drag on the canvas to place or erase the selected elements.
More about this game
Мир в Коробке is a physics simulation where you draw with different materials and watch them interact on a 90 by 160 grid. You can place sand, water, fire, lava, and red sand onto the canvas. The simulation runs continuously, letting sand fall, water flow, and fire spread. Elements react with each other: water turns sand into wet sand, extinguishes fire, and cools lava into stone. There is no specific goal or end state; you simply experiment with physics and reactions on a blank canvas or preset maps.
Tips
- Red sand is completely static and immovable, making it perfect for building solid walls, platforms, or containers to hold flowing liquids like water and lava.
- Fire spreads rapidly to all eight adjacent blocks but will automatically extinguish itself after exactly 120 frames, which is about two seconds of simulation time.
- Lava destroys almost everything it touches, but if it comes into contact with water, both the lava and the water will instantly transform into solid stone.
FAQ
- How do I change the brush size?
- Select a material, then click the S, M, or L buttons in the toolbar to change the size of your brush. This works for sand, water, fire, lava, red sand, and the eraser.
- Can I load pre-made maps?
- Yes, click the Maps button in the toolbar to choose from six preset landscapes. You can load a Mountain Range, Island Paradise, Desert Canyon, Forest Valley, Volcanic Landscape, or an Empty Canvas.
- How do I stop the simulation?
- Press the Spacebar on your keyboard to pause or resume the physics simulation. This allows you to draw complex structures with static red sand or place elements precisely before watching them react.
