More about this game

Ice Rink Rivals is a turn-based hockey shootout where you aim for open ice and time your shots to beat a moving goalie. You and your opponent take turns taking three shots each. The goalie constantly sweeps back and forth across the net, so you must time your release perfectly to score. The match ends after three rounds, or goes to sudden death if tied. The winner earns coins to customize their team gear, rename their players, and eventually build a personalized home stadium.

Tips

  • The puck takes about half a second to reach the net, so shoot slightly before the goalie moves away from your target area.
  • In Solo Practice mode, the Ice Bot waits 1.6 seconds before taking a completely random shot, giving you a predictable rhythm to follow.
  • Save up 10,000 coins to build your own stadium, which lets you customize the arena name and the color of the seats.

FAQ

How many coins do I win or lose?
In a standard match, the winner earns 2,000 coins while the loser loses 1,000. In the Stanley Cup mode, both players pay a 5,000 coin entry fee, and the winner takes home an 8,000 coin prize.
How many shots do I get per game?
Each player gets exactly three shots per match, taking turns one by one. If the score is tied after both players take their three shots, the game enters a sudden death round to decide the winner.
What can I customize in the locker room?
You can change both players' names up to 14 characters and pick custom gear colors. Both players start with 12,000 coins, so you can easily afford the 10,000 coin stadium upgrade to customize your home ice.
