More about this game
Tic-Tac-Toe Classic is a traditional board game played on a 3x3 grid. The goal is to place three of your marks (X or O) in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row. You can choose to play a 1v1 match against a friend on the same device or challenge the computer. The computer will try to block your winning moves and secure its own. The game ends when one player gets three in a row, or all 9 squares are filled, resulting in a draw.
Tips
- The center square is the most strategic position, as it connects to four possible winning lines.
- If the computer is about to get two marks in a row with an empty third spot, block it immediately.
- Try to create a 'fork' where you have two winning opportunities, forcing your opponent to block only one.
FAQ
- How does the computer decide its moves?
- The computer first looks for a winning move. If none exists, it blocks your winning moves. Then it tries to take the center square, followed by corners, and finally any empty space.
- Can I play as O against the computer?
- In 1v Computer mode, the human player always starts as X, and the computer plays as O.
- How is the score tracked?
- The game keeps a running total of X wins, O wins, and draws at the top of the screen during your session.
