More about this game
Poker Chess blends the tactical positioning of chess with the hand-building mechanics of poker. In each turn, you draw cards and select a five-card hand to determine the strength of your move. The better your poker hand, the more powerful your unit's attack or defense becomes. Your goal is to maneuver your pieces across the 8x8 board, level them up through combat, and ultimately defeat the enemy King. A run ends when either your King or the enemy King is defeated.
Tips
- Save your best poker hands for crucial attacks or when you need a strong defensive boost.
- Leveling up pieces increases their base attack, making them deadly even with weaker card combos.
- Use the Royal Flush (Diệt Thế) combo to instantly win the game if you can manage to draw it.
FAQ
- How do I get stronger attacks?
- Your attack strength is a combination of your piece's base attack, its current level, and the bonus provided by the poker hand you play. Better hands like a Full House or Four of a Kind give much higher bonuses.
- What happens when a piece levels up?
- When a piece defeats an enemy or survives a combat, it gains XP. At certain XP thresholds (3, 7, 12, 18), the piece levels up, increasing its base attack and maximum health.
- Can I keep cards for the next turn?
- Yes, you draw up to 7 cards but only play 5. The 2 cards you don't select are kept in your hand for the next turn, allowing you to plan ahead for stronger combos.
