More about this game
In Rapid Response RN, you take on the role of a nurse handling emergency medical situations. Your goal is to review the patient's vitals, history, and allergies, then choose the correct intervention from four options. You have exactly thirty seconds per patient. Correct answers earn points and experience, while incorrect answers or running out of time cause a deterioration and deduct forty-five points. A shift consists of ten patients, and the run ends when you have treated all of them, giving you a final performance grade.
Tips
- Watch the timer closely; when it reaches eight seconds, you will hear an urgent ticking sound warning you to decide quickly.
- Answering quickly gives you a time bonus of four points per remaining second, plus a streak bonus of up to seventy-five points.
- Pay close attention to the patient's allergies, as some of the listed intervention choices might contain medications that are harmful to them.
FAQ
- How is the patient's risk level determined?
- A patient is marked as Critical if their oxygen saturation is in the eighties, their blood pressure starts with an eight, or their respiratory rate is over thirty. Otherwise, they are Urgent.
- What happens if I answer a question incorrectly?
- If you answer incorrectly, you lose forty-five points, your streak resets to zero, and the patient suffers a deterioration. You still earn eight experience points for the attempt.
- How is my final shift performance graded?
- If you have zero deteriorations, you get an Outstanding response grade. One or two deteriorations results in a Stable shift, while three or more means you need faster escalation.
