You must carefully manage your distance, rolling to dodge incoming attacks, and striking back when the lion rests. With each successful hunt, the lion returns faster and with a higher maximum health pool, starting at 8 health and growing from there. A run ends when you defeat the beast or lose all five of your hearts.
Tips
- Rolling gives you 0.45 seconds of invincibility. Time your roll right as the lion pounces to safely pass through the attack without losing a heart.
- Striking the lion while it rests after an attack deals a critical hit for 2 damage instead of 1, and pushes it back further.
- Watch for the red exclamation mark above the lion. It signals a windup, meaning a swipe or a long-distance pounce is coming in less than a second.
