Getting started

What is Mable?

Mable is a place to make games and play them. You describe a game in your own words, Mable builds it, and it goes into a feed where other people can play it and try to beat your score.

Playing takes no install — games run in the browser.

Where can I play Mable?

  • iPhone and iPad: App Store
  • Android: Google Play, or the direct APK on mable.gg/download
  • Any browser: mable.gg

Do I need an account?

You can play without one. You need an account to make games, keep your progress, and show up on leaderboards.

Making games

How do I make a game?

Open Mable Studio at mable.gg and describe the game you want in your own words. You do not write code.

The first version lands closer when you are specific about two things: what the player does, and how they win or lose.

My game did not come out the way I wanted. What now?

Keep editing in the same conversation instead of starting over. Tell Mable what to change — "make the jump higher", "the enemies spawn too fast", "add a timer".

Starting a new game from scratch throws away the parts that already worked.

How do I edit a game I already published?

Open the game in Studio and use Edit game to keep working on it. When the new version is ready, use Update to push it live.

The game keeps its link, its plays and its scores — you are replacing the version people see, not creating a second game.

The preview still shows the old version after I edited it.

Reload the page first — the preview sometimes holds on to the build it already loaded.

If it still looks old after a reload, or you got a message saying the changes were not applied, the edit did not get published. Report it in Discord #bug-reports or through mable.gg/support with the game link and roughly when you made the edit.

My game is stuck generating, or generation keeps failing.

Reload Studio first — a stuck-looking build is sometimes just a page that lost the connection.

If it is still stuck after a reload, or failures keep repeating, check Mable Status, then report it in Discord #bug-reports or through mable.gg/support with the game link and roughly when it started. Failed requests are not charged.

I get an error when I try to publish or update my game.

First check Mable Status — if a service is down, publishing fails until it is back.

If status looks fine, report it in Discord #bug-reports or through mable.gg/support with the game link, the exact message you saw, and roughly when. Reports from there become tracked bugs, and we reply in the same thread when the fix is live.

A generation failed. Was I charged for it?

No. When a request fails end to end, it is not charged.

If you see credits taken for a request that clearly failed, write to us with the email on your account and roughly when it happened, and we will check the ledger and correct it.

Why does it say I am out of credits?

Making and editing games uses credits. Free accounts get credits that refresh; Plus adds more credits each billing period, and extra credit packs can be bought on top.

Your current balance and when it refreshes are shown in Studio. Credits are for Mable and cannot be transferred or cashed out.

Publishing and getting played

Where does my game go after I publish it?

It goes into the feed where anyone can play it, and it gets a link you can share anywhere.

Featured is the smaller, curated set. Publishing does not put you there — you request it from Studio.

How do I get my game featured?

Open the game in Studio and use Get Featured. A person reviews the request, and each account gets a limited number of requests per week — Studio shows how many you have left, so send your strongest game rather than everything you make.

There is no application form and no Discord ticket for this any more. It all happens in Studio.

How long does a Get Featured review take?

A person reviews every request, so it is not instant. The current status is shown on the game in Studio.

If it has been sitting much longer than a few days, ask in Discord #help with the game link and we will look it up.

Where is the grading system? I cannot find it any more.

The old grading system is retired. Games are no longer given a letter grade, and there is no grading request to send.

What replaced it: publish in Studio, and use Get Featured on the game when you think it is ready for a wider audience.

Where do I find my Mable profile link?

Your profile lives at mable.gg/u/ followed by your user ID. Open your own profile in Mable and copy the link from the address bar or the share button.

That link is what to send us when you are asking about your account or your games.

Creator Program and payouts

Is the Creator Program still paying out?

Cash payouts and the old grading system are paused.

Getting your games in front of people now runs through Get Featured inside Studio — not through Discord applications or grading requests.

I never received a payout from before. What do I do?

Write to [email protected] or use the form on mable.gg/support with:

  • the email address on your Mable account
  • your Discord handle
  • your Mable profile link
  • which games the payout was for, and roughly when

We check every claim against our full payment history before paying, so give us a few days rather than sending the same request again — duplicates slow it down. Do not post payment details in public channels.

Account, safety and privacy

I cannot sign in.

Use the form on mable.gg/support with the email address on your account and what you see on screen — a screenshot helps.

Never send us your password. We will not ask for it.

My creator badge or the edit button disappeared.

That is a bug, not something we did to your account. Send us your username and roughly when it changed, through mable.gg/support or Discord #bug-reports.

How do I report unsafe, stolen or abusive content?

Use the form on mable.gg/support and pick Safety, or write to [email protected]. Include a link to the game and a short description of the problem.

We look at every safety report. Child safety standards and reporting are on mable.gg/child-safety.

What happens to my data, and how do I delete my account?

What we collect and why is in the Privacy Policy.

To delete your account, follow the steps on mable.gg/account-deletion, or write to [email protected] from the address on your account. Deleting removes your account and your games.
